Blush : How to set up Instagram feed on the footer

1. Install and activate Instagram plugin

On your WP dashboard, go to Plugins >> Add New

Under Keyword : Search Plugins, enter “Instagram“

Choose Smash Balloon Social Photo Feed – Best Social Feed Plugin for WordPress and click INSTALL NOW and then ACTIVATE once the installation is complete.

2. Configure the plugin

From your WordPress dashboard, go to Instagram Feed in the left-hand menu.
Click LAUNCH THE SETUP WIZARD button

Under “Connect your Instagram account” click the ADD NEW button to link your Instagram account with the plugin. Follow the prompts to authorize the connection.

3. Customize the look of the widget

Once connected, you can customize the appearance of the feed by going to the CUSTOMIZE tab.

Click the pencil icon next to your registered username to edit the look. Enter the following details into each tab:

Feed Layout Tab
Under Layout, choose Grid. Then, enter these details:

Header Tab: Disable
Load More Button Tab: Disable
Follow Button Tab: Disable

4. Embed the Instagram feed widget to replace the demo

Go to Appearance >> Widget and open the Footer 1 Tab.

Click the List View button so you can see the “skeleton” of this area. Click the Row Layout under Footer 1 tab and delete the entire row.

Click the plus icon to add a block, choose a Shortcode block, and enter the shortcode for your Instagram feed.

Finally, click the Update button to save.
