How Opulence Home page works

In this tutorial, I’m going to show you how Opulence Home page works. There are two types of content in Opulence homepage, which are “static content” and “dynamic content”.

Static content
Dynamic content

Static Content

Static content refers to parts of a website that remain unchanged across different page loads. Static content is inserted directly in the actual page (in this case Home page) and does not change unless manually updated by you. It typically remains the same for all users and across multiple visits, making it static content.

To edit the static content, you will go directly to the Home page editor, and edit these parts of the content (that I marked yellow on the image above) there.

Dynamic Content

On the other hand, dynamic content is content that changes based on user behavior, preferences, or real-time factors. It’s generated when a page is loaded. A list of your most recent blog posts displayed on your homepage would be considered dynamic content because this list changes every time you add a new post.

In this case, every parts on Opulence homepage that say “Sample post 1, Sample post 2” and so forth are dynamic content. It pulls the content from your blog archives and it will change automatically whenever you add a new post.

To edit the blog posts, you will go to “Posts” on your WP Dashboard and make a new post or edit existing post. So you don’t edit them directly on this homepage. Once you make changes, Opulence homepage will automatically load any changes you make in your posts.

NOTES:

Make sure you assign the featured image for each blog post, so they will appear like the demo. Please refer to this tutorial on how to make a blog post and assign a featured image to the post.
