How to change your theme fonts

Changing your theme fonts

You can change the fonts in your Kadence theme by going to Appearance > Customize > Colors & Fonts > Typography.

Global font: base font and heading font

In your Kadence theme, there are two primary fonts that serve as the backbone for your design which are the ‘Base Font‘ and the “Heading Font‘. If you click on the font name, it will show you a list of over 1,000 Google Fonts that you can choose.

The ‘Base Font‘ is essentially the default text font that is used throughout your website. This includes the body of your posts, pages, and any other general text areas.

The ‘Heading Font‘ is used specifically for headings and titles throughout your website. This could include blog post titles, page headers, widget titles, and more.

In addition to these, each individual section also has options for customization. However, if you choose not to alter these sections and leave them as “Inherit“, they will automatically adopt the characteristics of the main fonts, ensuring a cohesive look and feel throughout your theme.
