How to edit sidebar components
Navigate to Appearance > Widgets to manage your sidebar. The main sidebar that is visible on your blog pages is Sidebar 1.
The components of the sidebar are made up of blocks, and you will notice that we wrap each of our blocks within a Row Layout or Section. Editing these blocks is very similar to how you edit content in a post editor. Just as you would add, delete, or rearrange sections in your blog post, you can do the same with the blocks in the sidebar.
You have the freedom to add more blocks if you need them, remove any that you don’t need anymore, and even sort them in any order you want. If you want to add more pre-designed blocks to your sidebar, you can do so by dropping in some pre-designed blocks from the Design Library.
NOTE: In the past, before the Gutenberg era, these sidebar components were referred to as ‘widgets’. Don’t let this terminology confuse you, as now people start calling them ‘blocks’, but they are essentially the same thing.
