How to show Post Author Box

An Author Post Box is a feature that displays information about the author of a blog post or article. It typically includes the author’s name, a brief bio, and often additional details such as a photo and links to their social media profiles.

1. How to display Post Author Box at the bottom of single post page

On your WP Dashboard, navigate to Appearance > Customize > Posts/Pages Layout > Single Post Layout. Scroll down until you locate the setting for “Show Post Author Box“

If you wish to show the post author box, move the toggle to the “on” position (indicated by blue). If you want to deactivate the author box, shift the toggle to the “off” position (shown in black and white).

2. How to customize displayed information in the Post Author Box

Navigate to Users > All Users, and choose a User to edit.

Name: The name (shown as Scrumptious on the picture) will display your preferred name in the Nickname field. Select “Nickname” under “Display name publicly as“.

Occupation: Occupation will show up under the displayed name. To modify this, scroll down to the section labeled “Extra profile information for author box” where will find an Occupation field.

Bio: To insert text into your bio, locate the “Biographical Info” field and type in your details.

Social icons: Under the section labeled “Extra profile information for author box“, enter your social profile links in the respective fields.
