Kadence: How to install and use custom font

If you own a license for Kadence Pro, you can use the supported custom font feature. Learn how to upload your fonts with a tutorial available for Kadence Pro users here.

Alternatively, if you have the free version of Kadence, you have the option to use a third-party custom font plugin called Use Any Font, Follow the step-by-step guide below to install this font plugin and implement it on your theme.

  1. To get started, navigate to your WordPress dashboard. In the left sidebar, click on Plugins > Add New.
  2. Search for “Use Any Font”
  3. Locate the “Use Any Font | Custom Font Uploader” plugin. Install and activate it.
  4. In the left sidebar, select “Use Any Font” menu to access the plugin settings. Then click on the “Generate Free Lite/Test API Key” button to obtain a free key. Click on the “Verify” button.
  5. Next, go to the “Upload Font” tab and click on the “Upload Fonts” button.
  6. Provide a name for your font, then click on “choose file” to initiate the font upload process. You would want to use a .woff2 file to ensure compatibility across all browsers.
  7. You can now choose this font in the customizer and from any font list while editing a page using Kadence Blocks. Do not assign any settings in the “Assign Fonts” tab, and leave this option blank. To assign fonts, use your theme customizer and individual block settings instead.
