SheShoppes Shop My Post Plugin (Genesis version)
Shop the Post widget is an affiliate widget that contains affiliate links, usually in a form of carousel or grid that showcases an array of products that leads to partner sites. You can earn commissions when your audience click a link or make purchases via your link.

To be able to create a widget, you will need to be a member of an affiliate network company, either RewardStyle or ShopStyle Collective.
After you become a member, you will be able to create a widget from within their member area and add your favorite items into your widget. They will then generate a line of codes or script that you will copy and paste into a specific place in your blog where you want the ads to show up.
All of SheShoppes themes comes with a SheShoppes Shop My Post plugin that provides you with a place where you can paste your codes so that they will show up after your excerpt and after your content.
There are two common place where you can place your affiliate widgets:
1. In a specific post
In your post editor, you will find a box that’s called “Affiliate Widget”. Paste your widget script into the box, and save.

2. In a widget area
In some of SheShoppes demo pages, you will find affiliate widgets placed in places like “Featured Finds” or “My Favorites”. These widgets are placed in a widget area.
On your WP Dashboard, go to Appearance >> Widgets.
Drag a Custom HTML widget box from the available widget boxes on the left, and drop it into any of the available widget areas. Best spots to place them are under Home : Header, Primary Sidebar, or Footer.
Using SheShoppes Shop My Post plugin without an affiliate widget
Note: This feature is available on PREMIUM themes only
I’ve been asked this question a lot “I’m not using affiliate widgets but still want to showcase products that I recommend in my blog. Is this possible?”
Yes. I decided to improve the plugin to make it possible for you to showcase non affiliate products.
Under your post editor, in the “Affiliate Widget” widget box, put a checkmark in the field that says “I prefer to upload my own images instead of using affiliate widgets”.

Then, click “Add a product”.
It will give you a place where you can upload your image and link. You can add unlimited numbers of products but I’d suggest to keep it 10 maximum so that it doesn’t slow down your page to load.
