Troubleshooting Installation
Demo Content Import Not Working
Importing demo content for Kadence can take some time. Depending on the size of the theme you are trying to import, it can take between 5 – 10 minutes. If your website is hosted on a high-quality server, the process will be faster. However, on lower-quality hosting, it can be slower and might even fail.
If the import gets stuck after 10 minutes, refresh the page and try running the import again.
If you’ve tried a few times and it still doesn’t work, deactivate all your plugins except the ones recommended by the theme. Once you’ve done that, run the import again.
Server Issues
For Websites Hosted on Limited Hosting Resources (ie. Bluehost, GoDaddy, Namecheap)
Some web hosts (such as Bluehost, GoDaddy, Namecheap) often have trouble importing demo content compared to other hosting providers. This is usually because the server lacks enough memory or resources.
If you’re using any of these web hosts and the import stops after 10 minutes or gives you an error, contact support and ask them to do the following for your site:
- Increase the WordPress memory limit to 512M.
- Increase the post_max_size to 1000M.
Once they’ve made these changes, try the import again.
500 Error
If you’re getting a “500 Error” (Internal Server Error) or similar, visit Kadence’s guide on fixing 500 errors for help.
If these steps don’t resolve the issue, contacting your hosting provider for support is a good next step, as they can provide more specific assistance based on their server setup.
How to fix the “NO POSTS” issue on Post Loop, or posts not displaying completely
Sometimes your post loop block will display a “no posts” notice instead of showing your posts. This may happen when the loop is trying to display posts with specific categories, or tags, or taxonomies. The reason for this could be that the IDs of these categories, tags, or taxonomies are different on your site compared to the demo site.
Simply click anywhere within the area of your post loop block.
Right below Offset Starting Post you’ll find several filter options. Clear any existing selections, then choose any Category or Tag you wish to display on that specific post loop or reselect the same Category or Tag.
Your posts should now show up.
